Deceptively simple on the surface, but stick with it, and you'll be rewarded. I've finished A Dark Room at least four times now, but still found a few surprises on the last playthrough. The app version has a few extras for those who may already be familiar with the web version, too. Really can't overstate how wonderful this little game is!

Deceptively cool. A gripping, mysterious narrative. Give it patience. You'll be crawling right back into the dark room at the end of your first playthrough. :D Unfortunately, There are a few frustrating bugs in the game that are supposedly not present in the browser version. I hear the story is even better on that version anyway, so maybe I'll give it a try and update this review after that experience. Right now I think it is still one of the better games on the app store.

Amazing journey! As the player, you are forced to join the main character in the confusion of the beginning of the game and what to do. Just keep trying things. Don't give up. I promise you'll learn to love the game once you solve the many mysteries it holds. The simple graphics and use of open descriptions lets the player shift their view of the world/what's happening like a classic rpg. Question everything! And have fun. ;D
