  • I’ve gone for this offer. It should still arrive before the SA release date, and I’m surprised that it is over R1000 cheaper.

That is, if everything works out according to plan, I’ve never bought something this big from Amazon UK before.

    • Yeah there was a price drop of £17 today. Not sure if it’s permanent though. The normal price was around R6200.

Amazon’s service is pretty damn good so you shouldn’t have any problems.

    They don’t accept PayPal 🙁

Isn’t it cheaper to order it from amazon.com rather then UK?

    • They don’t ship to SA unfortunately.

Thanks, Yeah I saw they are really expensive on some products and cheaper on other. I have another question maybe you can assist me with. I’m keen on buying the elite controller for the xbox one. This would be from the UK amazon. Is it better to use global priority or standard? I’m also not sure how to work out what the total price would be including taxes ect.

        • Just take the cheapest shipping option. They all come via a courier. To check the total cost, you have to go to the final stage of the checkout process. It’s R2297 including standard shipping to SA.

Thanks, I ordered the elite controller from the UK. Today I received a email from i-parcel saying I should provide them with a I’d or they’ll send the item back. I already gave amazon my I’d and the package i-parcel is describing excludes a product ed I also ordered in the same parcel. If tried tracking the code i-parcel provided me on their site but only a error pops up. Is this company a s am? Online has mixed opinions regarding i-parcel

          • i-parcel is part of UPS if I’m not mistaken. Maybe Amazon split your order and shipped the items separately? They do that sometimes so it gets to you faster.

Thanks , it also stated we can’t ship from the use until you provide a Id. I ordered from uk. Anyway you helped me a lot thank you

  • These are awesome, I just reordered to get the new lowest price. Thanks Lonthor, keep up the amazing work.

How safe is this method? This deal is almost too good to be true, but it is still a lot of money if it is risky.

    • Well it would be delivered straight to your door via the courier. Amazon handles customs for you.

If you have any problem within the first 30 days you can send it back to Amazon and they cover the shipping costs. They will send a replacement immediately.

Guys anyone have any idea how long it takes for Amazon to ship to south africa?

    • Less than a week in most cases.

      • likta

        Thanks

  • Johan

Seeing as this is a pre-order and we are only charged a day or two before shipping, can anyone confirm whether we will be charged the amount at time of order (R6018 in my case) or will we be charged the effective exchange rate at the time of shipping instead (which is likely to go up).

    • If you have the Amazon currency converter enabled, which displays the amount in Rands, the price won’t change. You will still get charged R6018 when it ships, even if the exchange rate weakens.

      • Johan

        Right, thanks.
